Graduate Programs Forum

SBAP promotes the exchange of experiences and mobilizes Graduate Programs in Public Administration, Public Policy and Public Management in Brazil, in favor of their sustainable expansion and permanent qualification of teaching and research at the graduate level.

I Graduate Programs Forum

On May 23, 2014, at EAESP-FGV, SBAP held its first Graduate Programs Forum in Public Administration, brought together 19 professors/researchers among coordinators and professors of Master’s, and Ph.D. programs in Administration/Public Management from 13 Higher Education Institutions: FGV-RJ, FGV-SP, USP-SP, USP-RP, UNIFACS, UFF, UFSCAR, UFES, UFV, UFG, FJP, UFRN and UnB- Plateau.

II Graduate Programs Forum

On April 17, 2015, at EG/FJP-MG, SBAP held its II Graduate Programs Forum in Public Administration, bringing together 21 professors/researchers among coordinators and professors of Master’s, and Ph.D. programs in Administration/Public Management from 16 Higher Education Institutions: FGV-RJ, FGV-SP, FJP, PUC-MG, USP-SP, USP-RP, UFBA, UFF, UFRGS, UFV, UFG, UFMG, UFRN, UNIFAL, UnB and UnB-Planaltina.

Co-oordinated by Prof. Bruno L. Diniz (FJP), SBAP’s president and vice-president, the event produced the “Letter of Belo Horizonte” and was attended by the coordinator of the evaluation area for Public Administration of CAPES Agency of the Ministry of Education, approving the inclusion of Public Administration as one of the fields alongside with Administration, Accounting and Tourism.

III Graduate Programs Forum

On December 4 and 5, 2017, in Brasília, at Fiocruz’s headquarters, SBAP held the III Graduate Programs Forum in Public Administration, bringing together 42 professors/researchers among coordinators and professors of Master’s, and Ph.D. programs in Administration/Public Management from 26 Higher Education Institutions. Supported by the PPGA of UnB and ANEPCP, the event was coordinated by professor Suylan Midlej e Silva (UnB), Antonio Sérgio Araújo Fernandes (UFBA) and Claudia Souza Passador (FEARP-USP).

The programme included a review of the four-year evaluation of CAPES and, for the first time, it organized a forum of Journals with the participation of the editors of the main national peer reviewed Journals in Public Administration in Brazil (RAP, APGS, CGPC and RSP). Finally, there was the launch of the V EBAP for the academic community.

Nos dias 4 e 5 de dezembro de 2017, em Brasília/DF, na sede da Fiocruz, a SBAP realizou o III Fórum de Programas de Pós-Graduação em Administração Pública, reunindo 42 professores/pesquisadores entre coordenadores e docentes de cursos de mestrado acadêmico, mestrado profissional e doutorado em Administração/Gestão Pública e linha de pesquisa em Administração Pública (AP) de 26 IES. Apoiado pelo PPGA da UnB e pela ANEPCP, o evento foi coordenado pelos professores Suylan Midlej e Silva (UnB), Antonio Sérgio Araújo Fernandes (UFBA) e Claudia Souza Passador (FEARP-USP).

A pauta abrangeu um balanço da avaliação quadrienal da CAPES e, pela primeira vez, organizou um fórum de periódicos com a presença dos editores das principais revistas de AP nacionais (RAP, APGS, CGPC e RSP). E, para finalizar, houve o lançamento do V EBAP para a comunidade acadêmica.
